There have been a lot of shots featured in the “Shot of the week” so far, it’s time to start an archive page to make it easier for you to find the shots that you have enjoyed and want to try again. The shots will be listed with the most recent shot of the week at the top. Also, I feel that this section deserves a theme song, so if you would like to hear LMFAO’s Shots… just press play and look for your favorite shots!

Last Call Marquette (the official drink!)

1/2 oz. Jack Daniels
1/2 oz. Southern Comfort
1/2 oz. Triple Sec
1/2 oz. Amaretto
1/2 oz. Tequila
3 oz. Sour Mix

Put ice in a shaker, add all the ingredients – shake – pour into a tall glass, top with sprite and grenadine. Garnish the “Last Call Marquette” with an orange slice. This impressive drink was created by the bartenders over at the Wild Rover! Go in and congratulate them by ordering up a “Last Call Marquette” at the Rover!

Lemon Drop (week of 8/30/10)

1/2 oz Vodka
1/2 oz Lemon Juice
1 sugar cube

With this recipe, you muddle the sugar cube and shake it up with the vodka and lemon juice. Another recipe would have you use an ounce of vodka and a splash of Lemon Juice, while putting the sugar around the rim of the glass. Then there is my personal favorite – regardless the proportions of vodka and lemon juice – after taking the shot, suck on a lemon slice that is covered in sugar.

MQT (week of 8/23/10)

1/3 oz of Gin
1/3 oz of Blue Curacao
1/3 oz of Orange Juice

Cement Kicker (week of 8/16/10)

1 oz. Bailey’s Irish Creme (shot 1)
1/2 oz. Lime Juice
1/2 oz. Bacardi 151

Pour the shot of baileys in your mouth, but don’t swallow. Then take the shot of Lime Juice and 151 and pour it in, now shake your head like a cement mixer and let that baby transform to a solid in your mouth and swallow!

Sex on the Beach (week of 8/9/10)

1/2 oz. Black Raspberry Liqueur
1/2 oz. Melon Liqueur
1/2 oz. Vodka
1 oz. Pineapple Juice
Splash of Cranberry Juice

Shake up the ingredients before pouring in the shot glass(es), then pour a splash of Cranberry Juice on top of each shot.

Black and Blue Shark (week of 8/2/10)

1 oz. Jack Daniels
1/2 oz. Gold Tequila (Cuervo)
1/2 oz. Vodka
1/2 oz. Blue Curacao

Mix and serve in a large/double shot glass.

Banana Boat (week of 7/26/10)

1/2 oz Tequila
1/4 oz Banana Liqueur
1/4 oz Lime Juice

Dreamsicle (week of 7/19/10)

1/2 oz Tequila Rose
1/2 oz Orange Juice

You must serve this shot chilled, and you have to shake it before pouring it into the shot glass. It may come out looking a little chunky, but don’t worry, it tastes great… just don’t wait too long to slam it.

Panty Dropper (week of 7/12/10)

1/3 oz. Bacardi 151
1/3 oz. Amaretto
1/3 oz. Southern Comfort
Red Bull

Alright, pour the Bacardi 151, Amaretto and SoCo into a shot glass, then drop it into the Red Bull.

Bomb Pop (week of 6/28/10 & 7/5/10)

4-6 oz. Mike’s Hard Lemonade
1 oz. Blue UV Vodka
Splash of Grenadine

In a highball glass or pint glass, pour about half the bottle of Mike’s Hard Lemonade (4-6 ounces). Then take a shot glass, fill it up with the Blue UV Vodka, splash the Grenadine over the Blue UV. Drop the shot glass into the Mike’s Hard Lemonade and chug!

SoCo Lime (week of 6/21/10)

1 oz. Southern Comfort
Splash of Lime Juice

Serve chilled, dependent on your preference you can add more lime to the shot.

3 Wise Men (week of 6/14/10)

1/3 oz. Johnnie Walker
1/3 oz. Jack Daniels
1/3 oz. Jim Beam

What better way to celebrate Father’s day than with the Fathers of Scotch, Whiskey and Bourbon!

Mind Eraser (week of 6/7/10)

1/2 oz. Kahlua
1/2 oz. Vodka
Splash of Club Soda

Don’t mix the ingredients in a shaker! You can chill the shot glasses first (unless the bar is over-crowded) otherwise, warm ain’t so bad.

Raspberry Lifesaver (week of 6/1/10)

1/2 oz. Smirnoff Raspberry Vodka
1/2 oz. Pineapple Juice
Splash of Grenadine

Another candy-like shot, but not too powerful of a shot.

Oatmeal Cookie (week of 5/24/10)

2/3 oz. Bailey’s Irish Cream
1/3 oz. Rumple Minz
Splash of Milk

Chill all the ingredients and add the Milk in last.

Kamikaze (week of 5/17/10)

3/4 oz. Vodka
1/4 oz. Triple Sec
Splash of Lime Juice

Now there are quite a few variations of recipes out there, some with more vodka, some with a little more triple sec. But either way its majority Vodka, then triple sec and a little lime juice.

Jolly Rancher (week of 5/10/10)

3/4 oz. Vodka
1/4 oz. Midori Melon liqueur
1/4 oz. Peach Schnapps
Splash of Cranberry Juice

Mix all the ingredients in a mixing glass with ice, shake and strain into a shot glass.

Girl Scout Cookie (week of 5/3/10)

1/2 oz. coffee liqueur
1/2 oz. Bailey’s Irish Cream
1/2 oz. Peppermint Schnapps

If you want the layered look to the shot, put the coffee liqueur in first, then float the Baileys Irish Cream on top of it, followed by peppermint schnapps (might I recommend Rumpleminz… if you’re out of that, Dr. McGillicuddy’s will do nicely as well).

Rambo Shot (week of 4/26/10)

1/2 oz. Jagermeister
1/2 oz. Rumple Minz

Serve these two ingredients chilled and mixed together in a shot glass. This shot is also referred to as a “Dead Nazi”.

Prairie Fire (week of 4/19/10)

1 oz. 1800 Tequila
1 dash of Tabasco Sauce

Yeah, I realize what I just said… but I know there are those of you out there that are tempted to try it and I encourage you to do so! You do not have to use 1800 Tequila, rail Tequila will do nicely too. Some have suggested that you line the rim of the shot glass with the hot sauce, but it’s up to you.

Flaming Dr. Pepper (week of 4/12/10)

3/4 oz. Amaretto Almond Liqueur
1/4 oz. 151 Proof Rum
1/2 glass of beer

Alright, so pour your choice of beer (to achieve the targeted taste, use a light beer) into a pint glass or mug. Then take the shot of Amaretto and Rum… and light that baby on fire, drop it into the beer and chug. If done properly it should taste like Dr. Pepper.

Blue Bunny (week of 4/5/10)

1 dash of Blue Curacao
1/2 oz. light Rum
1 splash of Sour Mix
1/2 oz. Vodka

Pour all the ingredients into a shaker and… shake. Pour into a shot glass and serve.

Oompa Loompa (week of 3/29/10)

1/2 oz. Bacardi Razz Rum
1/2 oz. Raspberry Vodka

A pretty simple shot this time around, the name of the shot makes it worthwhile to try at least once though!

Cough Medicine (week of 3/22/10)

1/3 oz. Blue Curacao
1/3 oz. Green Creme De Menthe
1/3 oz. Vodka

I’m going to say serve this at room temperature for the mere fact that I’ve never used cold medicine after storing it in the fridge.

Irish Gold (week of 3/15/10)

1/2 oz. Bailey’s Irish Cream
1/2 oz. Goldschlager Cinnamon Schnapps

Mix that up and serve it up in your finest of shot glasses.

Purple Hooter (week of 3/8/10)

1 splash of Cranberry Juice
1 splash of Sour mix
1 oz. Vodka
1/2 oz. Raspberry Schnapps

Make sure to shake this one up before serving, makes for a great tasting shot!

Bazooka Joe (week of 3/1/10)

1/2 Bacardi Limon
1/2 Grape Pucker
Red Bull

Okay, so turns out this shot is more of a bomb, oh well! So take a glass, pour in the redbull, then take the mix shot and drop it in.

Canadian Flag (week of 2/22/10)

1/2 oz. Cherry Liquor
1/2 oz. Irish Cream

Penalty Shot (week of 2/15/10)

1/3 oz. Blue Curacao
1/3 oz. Melon Liqueur
1/3 oz. Triple Sec

Incredible Hulk (week of 2/8/10)

1/2 oz. Hennessy Cognac
1/2 oz. Hpnotiq

Depending on the bar, you might be able to get this in a 2 ounce shot glass, in which case go with a shot of each (I recommend larger portions for this shot to really get the full… impact?)

Liquid Cocaine (week of 2/1/10)

1/3 oz. Jagermeister
1/3 oz. Goldschlager
1/3 oz. Rumple Minze

This shot is best served chilled (but isn’t everything?), for those that may be faint of heart, it is recommended to have a chaser on hand. The daring should be just fine… I think.

MQT (week of 1/25/10)

1/2 oz. of Blue Curacao
1/2 oz. of Gin
splash of Orange Juice

The credit for the drink recipe goes to Flanigan’s, so go and thank them by ordering it at Flanigan’s! Also, you may find it to be a little more tasty by adding a little extra OJ (if you are creating this at home).

Double Trouble (week of 1/18/10)

First Shot – 1 oz. Whiskey

Second Shot

1/3 oz. Vodka
1/3 oz. Cranberry Juice
1/3 oz. Red Bull (energy drink)

The idea is to take the whiskey first and to follow it up with the second shot as a chaser. This combo is definitely fit to be named the Double Trouble shot!

Washington Apple (week of 1/11/10)

1/3 oz. Crown Royal
1/3 oz. Sour Apple Pucker
1/3 oz. Cranberry Juice
1 splash of 7-up

Shake these ingredients with ice, then serve… some people make this shot without 7-up, you decide.

Redheaded Slut (1/4/10)

1/2 oz. of Peach Schnapps
1/2 oz. of Jagermeister
1 splash of Cranberry Juice

Irish Car Bomb (week of 12/28/09)

1/2 oz. Bailey’s Irish Cream
1/2 oz. Jameson Irish Whiskey
1/2 – 3/4 pint of Guinness

Pull out a pint glass, fill it up half way or three-quarters full of some cold Guinness, then drop your shot of Bailey’s and Jameson into the pint glass – drink immediately!
